In a consecutive series of weekends, Poughkeepsie mixed martial arts gym Precision Boxing and MMA has had the amazing opportunity to see many of our members win competitive fights in their own respective categories.
Longtime member Anthony Martin led the charge with his Muay Thai win by knock out in the Dead Serious MMA event card in Poughkeepsie, NY. This win was followed by Miguel Gonzalez with a USA boxing win. After a grueling 3 rounds of back and forth, Gonzales was declared the winner by unanimous decision in Albany, NY.
This past weekend, Precision head instructor Brian McLaughlin traveled to Madison Square Garden and coached Jim Miller to a 27th UFC win by first round submission for his 45th UFC fight, setting records for most wins and most fights in the UFC league.
Many gyms try to capitalize on the mixed martial arts craze by claiming they are MMA gyms when in reality, they only specialize in one dimension of martial arts and try to use the MMA moniker to reel people in. However, Precision truly has experts and specialists in each of the main categories of martial arts. This is shown by the variety of successful athletes we are able to produce ranging from muay thai kickboxing and western kickboxing to UFC competition with elite grappling. Despite our competitive accolades, experience is never required and welcome them into a safe and beginner friendly environment.
If you want to pursue your competitive dreams, make them a reality at Precision Boxing and MMA and learn from the trainers of champions. For a free private lesson call (845)-392-8495 or visit us at precisionmixedmartialarts.com!
