Precision Boxing and MMA superstar Lindsey “Damsel” VanZandt came home for the holidays and made sure to stop by Precision to teach a seminar for her friends and training partners here in Poughkeepsie!

Lindsey has always been a role model to young women who are interested in martial arts. She’s always dedicated her time towards helping students learn to be the best version of themselves. VanZandt started her fighting career under the tutelage of coach Brian McLaughlin. Becoming a standout student, she began teaching classes at Precision Boxing and MMA and has been a huge asset to the community ever since. After having to relocate to Arizona, Lindsey makes sure to share what she’s working on every time she comes back! As a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt and a veteran of organizations such as Bellator, Rizin and Invicta; Lindsey came equipped with lesson plans for both striking and grappling for mixed martial arts.

VanZandt most recently competed in Invicta’s atomweight tournament where she fought three different opponents in one night. She won her first two “exhibition” bouts, then lost a hard fought decision to Jessica Delbone; who has won 6 of her last seven fights and will be fighting for the Invicta Atomweight title this January. Although she put on great performances, Lindsey suffered a debilitating injury during training shortly after the Invicta tournament. All proceeds from Lindsey’s seminar will be used to help her recover and get back to training. Lindseys’ past performances have shown her championship skill and heart and all of us at Precision want to see her back on the path to the belt.
